The magazine Pioneerof the Editor House Aprilwill celebrate next Monday, August 4, Elpidio Valdés, one of the most beloved characters in the Cuban children’s imaginary.
According to the Cuban News Agency (ACN)the day will have Activities dedicated to girls and boys in the April Bookstore (Prado no. 553, corner Lieutenant Rey), just in front of the National Capitol.
The director of the publication, Aracelys Bedevia, defined the celebration as “a party full of adventures and learning”, designed for the enjoyment of the little ones during this summer of 2025.
From 10:00 am there will be Drawing workshops, phrase competitions, oral narration and projections of restored animated shortsstarring the emblematic Mambí, in charge of animated ICAIC.

Bedevia also highlighted the collaboration of the project The manigualed by Silvia Padrón – very of the famous cartoonist -, dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the entire work of Juan Padrón, both on paper and in cinema.
Some of the restored shorts will be part of Monday’s program.
“It will be a day to celebrate Cuban memory, culture and identity through one of its most endearing cartoon heroes,” Bedevia concluded.
