Israel’s forces murdered more than 50 Palestinians who were waiting for food aid that transported trucks from the Zikim area, Gaza authorities denounced.
Cited by media, they explained that the Israeli attack occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Sudaniya, northwest of Gaza, when numerous citizens approached humanitarian aid trucks.
At least 58 civilians died and another 648 people were injured in just three hours, said Mayadeen.
This occurs in the middle of the serious famine situation that is lived in Gaza and that mainly affects children, a situation denounced by United Nations and international organizations.
According to medical sources from Gaza, the Israeli aggression initiated in October 2023 has left 60,239 dead people and 146,894 wounds, while hundreds of victims remain under the debris without the possibility that rescue teams can reach them due to the attacks of the occupant force.
Venezuela condemns massacre in Gaza
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, condemned the massacre in Gaza committed by Israeli forces on Thursday.
«We condemn with absolute firmness the massacre perpetrated by Israel’s Zionist regime against Palestinian civilians during an alleged distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza. Under the facade of assistance, what was executed was a deadly ambush against a hungry, besieged and bombedless people without truce, ”he said by his Telegram channel.
The Chancellor said that the use of food as a trap and help as a weapon represents «one of the most despicable crimes of this century. It was not an ‘incident’, but a deliberate extermination operation, protected by the impunity granted by the inaction of the multilateral system ».
He also denounced that this act of barbarism is part of an ongoing genocide and that what happened is a “affront humanitarian law”, as well as an attack against any notion of humanity.
