Pharmacies and drugstores that already make up the Popular Pharmacy Program of Brazil have until Thursday (31) to renew their accreditation. In a statement, the Ministry of Health reported that the measure is mandatory for all establishments that want to maintain themselves fit to offer medicines and inputs by the program.
“The measure was resumed in April 2025, reinforcing the ongoing monitoring actions of the Popular Pharmacy to avoid irregularities and ensure full access of the service to the population,” the folder said in the statement. The renewal of accreditation, according to the ministry, had been interrupted in 2018.
To check the required documentation, establishments must access the system online Popular Pharmacy and follow guidelines available in the website of the Ministry of Health. The registration renewal is carried out through the System of Caixa Econômica Federal. No fee is charged.
