The Attorney General’s Office (PGR), in a statement released on Wednesday night (30), stated that he received with “amazement” the application of sanctions to Minister Alexandre de Moraes by the United States.
“The Attorney General’s Office is astonishing with the news of the imposition by a foreign state of sanction to the eminent Minister Alexandre de Moraes for the performance of his jurisdictional functions.”
In the demonstration, the agency also expressed its solidarity to Alexandre de Moraes. “The PGR expresses solidarity with the minister, the Federal Supreme Court and the Brazilian judiciary. Renews the recognition of the technical accuracy of the deliberations of the Federal Supreme Court and its members”.

Sanction
Earlier, Donald Trump’s government decided to apply sanctions against the minister, Based on Magnitsky Lawnorm that determines economic sanctions for those who are considered a violator of human rights.
The Magnitsky Law provides for the blockade of bank accounts, assets and financial investments in the United States and the ban on transactions of US companies with sanctioned people, as well as the impediment of entry into the country.
The application of this norm is the second sanction determined by President Trump to Alexandre de Moraes. On July 18, United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the revocation of the minister’s visas, his family members and “allies in the court.”
The announcement was made after Moraes opened an inquiry to investigate federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), the former president’s son, for acting with the United States government to promote retaliation measures against the Brazilian government and ministers of the Supreme and try to block the progress of criminal prosecution on the scammer plot
