The Ombudsman, Josué Gutiérrezhe spoke about the message to the nation of the president Dina Boluarte For national holidays.
In his opinion, he lacked to announce the measures that will be taken in the remainder of the current period.
“Undoubtedly, what was missing in the message is the last part, which are the measures that will be taken for the remainder of the period. Every message needs two central foundations first, the national unity; without that, a climate of peace is not achieved in principle,” he said.
The head of the Ombudsman considered that public and private investment guidelines should be emphasized. “I think there was a lack of emphasis on investment issues. It is clear what the country has as a state policy,” he said.
In addition, he pointed out that the protection of vulnerable populations should be deepened.
“I mean the children of the country that remain in orphanage. If in one of those situations there is no dad or mom, who assumes that role?” First we must establish the path of how, as a state, to respond to the victims who are today without support, without access to education, to health and other services. That is fundamental, “he said.
