The ceremony, with bagpipes, fireworks and a song of the Trump electoral campaign (“YMCA” by Village People) was broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the White House.
Trump accompanied the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, on a tour of the golf course on Monday.
The next day he welcomed the leader of Scotland John Swinney, who has generated controversy for granting subsidies to celebrate a golf tournament on Trump’s property.
“Deeply worrying”
“All this gives the impression that foreign governments pay or pay tribute to Donald Trump’s businesses in apparent attempts to meet him and receive a better treatment in key political issues, including trade agreements,” said Noah Bookbinder, director of the Oenege Citizens for responsibility and ethics in Washington (CREW).
It is “deeply worrying” that American diplomacy can be guided by the financial interests of the Trump family, he added.
A White House official denied any irregularity in Trump’s stay in Scotland because the president’s assets are in a trust -administered trust.
Among applause, the 79 -year -old president went on Tuesday to play in the new golf course with his son Eric, who directed the project.
“We wanted this to be the best 36 holes field in the world. And there is no doubt that we have achieved it,” Trump Son said.
A journalist then asked Trump if he constituted a conflict of interest with his position as president.
“I haven’t heard any of that,” Trump replied, and immediately changed the subject.
“You could see my drive in the first hole? (…) quite long, quite long,” he said.
Eric and Donald Trump Jr., who was also present in the investiture, are executive vice presidents of the Trump Organization, a holding that manages a wide range of properties and other assets.
During her stay in Scotland, Trump also received the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in another of her golf resorts, in the city of Turnberry.

The president’s government has promoted the cryptocurrencies that have inflated Trump’s wealth, highly criticized for organizing a private dinner in April for the 25 main owners of $ Trump, a crypto product associated with it and called Meme Coin.
He has promoted this product on its Social Network Platform Truth Social, which is part of the Trump Media company.
