The Office of the Ibero -American States Organization (OEI) in Cuba will celebrate at the end of September the Latin American night of researchers, focused on sensitizing the population about climate change and promoting scientific vocation.
IOSMARA FERNÁNDEZ SILVA, director of the OEI on the island, explained to the Cuban News Agency That this initiative aims to bring scientific advances to society, promote interest in research among young people and make visible the impact of climate change.

The event, which will be held in Havana, although without an exact confirmed date, will also highlight the role of science in the construction of a sustainable future.
In addition, Fernández announced the launch in September of the Ibero -American Prize for Human Rights Oscar Arnulfo Romero, which will recognize projects that promote more inclusive, fair and equitable societies through human rights education.
The OEI, created in 1949 and with Cuba as a full member since 1985, recently presented its Memory 2023-2024, A report that details its shares on the island since the opening of its office in November 2022.
