In a new sample of bilateral cooperation, Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Mahmoud Pesheksian ratify the strengthening of the alliance between Iran and Venezuela, covering strategic sectors and supporting a world summit for peace promoted by Caracas.
The governments of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Islamic Republic of Iran consolidated their cooperation ties on a telephone conversation between their leaders, Nicolás Maduro and Mahmoud Pesheksian, marked by diplomacy, friendship and shared strategic vision.
The official statement highlights the joint decision to deepen collaboration in key sectors such as energy, science, technology, health, agriculture and industry, within the framework of strengthening the South-South Cooperation Axis.

Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Mahmoud fishshkian hold fruitful telephone conversation
The presidents Nicolás Maduro Moros, of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and Mahmoud fishshkian, of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation characterized by the cordiality, friendship and the spirit of cooperation that unites both nations on Monday.
During the exchange, they evaluated the excellent state of the bilateral relationship, they agreed that the strategic cooperation between Iran and Venezuela marches “stern wind”, and agreed to celebrate in style, during the month of August, the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Both leaders ratified the commitments established within the framework of the 20 -year strategic cooperation agreement, signed in 2022, and expressed their willingness to continue deepening collaboration in key sectors such as energy, science, technology, health, agriculture and industry.
President Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude for the firm solidarity of Venezuela against the recent Zionist aggression against Iran, and expressed his full support for the Venezuelan proposal to convene a world summit for peace and against war, aimed at promoting a fair and comprehensive solution to the crisis in Western Asia, with priority attention to the cause of the Palestinian people.
For his part, President Nicolás Maduro said that he trusts that through diplomacy the right of the Iranian people to peace and developing can be consolidated.

In addition, the Iranian President thanked the firm Venezuelan solidarity with the recent Zionist aggression against Iran and expressed his full support for Venezuela’s proposal to convene a world summit for peace and against war, aimed at promoting a fair and comprehensive solution to the crisis in Western Asia, with emphasis on the cause of the Palestinian people.
For his part, President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed his conviction that, through diplomacy, the right of the Iranian people can be consolidated to live in peace and achieve their full development.
Bilateral context
Since the formal establishment of diplomatic relations more than four decades ago, Iran and Venezuela have intensified their cooperation in different strategic areas, especially in energy, defense, health and commerce.
In recent years, both countries have signed technical assistance agreements, scientific exchange and industrial development, consolidating an alliance that challenges unilateral blockages and promotes a more fair and multipolar international order.
The common position in defense of the sovereignty of the peoples and the rejection of interventionist policies has made this relationship a model of solidarity and geopolitical resistance, especially in the face of external pressures.
