Fanb will keep more than 400 thousand troops deployed throughout the country

The Operational Strategic Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that during the second phase of the electoral process, the Republic Operation continues with the deployment of more than 400 thousand military personnel throughout the national territory, in order to guarantee the security, order and protection of the Venezuelan people.

This deployment is part of the commitment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) with the defense of sovereignty and strengthening participatory democracy, by ensuring optimal conditions for the exercise of the vote in peace.

Likewise, the General in Chief explained that the third phase of Operation Republic corresponds to the so -called “replication plan”, which is activated once the common day is completed and contemplates the progressive retirement of the military personnel to maintain the surveillance and protection of the centers and the common material, in coordination with the National Electoral Council (CNE).

Similarly, it emphasizes that the Venezuelan people exercised their right to vote in a peaceful way and in complete tranquility, which demonstrates once again that Venezuela is a nation of peace, justice and deep democratic vocation.

The FANB reiterates its commitment to the people and the Constitution, always acting in attachment to the principles of legality, respect and defense of the popular will.
