“Today, July 28, 2025, I can say: We have had a historical victory for the strength of the Bolivarian Revolution! Victoria, Victoria, Victoria Popular!” The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, expressed with deep emotion, informing that Chavismo obtained 285 mayorships of a total of 335, which represents a significant extension with respect to the 212 obtained in the previous process.
In addition, he stressed that this triumph was possible thanks to the conscious vote of man, the woman and the people on foot and rebel. From Caracas, President Maduro especially celebrates the re -election of Mayor A/J Carmen Meléndez, who was ratified by the capital people for a new period of four years. In turn, he praised his qualities as “humble, honest, disciplined, hardworking, capable, efficient, effective, mother, grandmother and woman”, to ensure that her leadership represents the spirit of the heroic, patriotic and victorious Caracas.
He also extended a message of respect and welcome to the 50 opposition mayors who were elected, urging them to work for peace, national coexistence and respect for communes, advice and communal circuits.
The national president said with words of pride towards the Venezuelan people that “we are proud of the humble woman, woman and family,” to claim the leading role of the people.
This election day marks a new chapter in the consolidation of popular power and the deepening of the socialist model in Venezuela, with a clear call to unity, respect and joint work for the welfare of the country.
