The President Dina Boluarte He did not forget the Public Ministry in his message to the Nation for July 28 and lashed out at the institution directed by the prosecutor of the Nation, Delia Espinoza.
Although Boluarte did not mention the Prosecutor’s Office in its dissertation before Congress, it did refer to this in the written pronouncement shared by the Government Palace. The ruler did not culminate the reading of the 97 pages consisted of her message.
“We have seen with stupor how a fundamental institution of the Constitutional State is being taken by subaltern interests outside the national interest. We share the desire of many Peruvians to have a justice system that guarantees the defense of legality in an objective, timely, independent, autonomous and impartial manner. We have the duty to reject the politicization of the judicial system,” he said.
At another time, the president accused that she and her family are persecuted judicially.
“To sustain democracy involved facing factual powers, which sought that when facing innumerable investigations and fiscal complaints or extending this harassment to government officials and even involved members of my family, would bend my commitment to Peru and all Peruvians,” he said.
Last May, prosecutor Espinoza presented to Parliament a new constitutional complaint against the Head of State for deaths in the protests of December 2022 and January 2023.
Yesterday, the brand new head of the Legislative, José Jerí, justified in an interview with the Sunday Fourth Power the report with which he recommended archiving that complaint, being a member of the subcommission of constitutional accusations, considering that there is no evidence that compromises Boluarte Zegarra with the deaths of Citizens.
