The Democratic Center spoke after the judge concluded that the crimes of bribery in criminal action and procedural fraud materialized, after the trial that was advanced by alleged manipulation of witnesses to former president Álvaro Uribe.
The community disagreed with the judge’s decision, but warned that he will continue to defend the innocence and Uribe. The director of the Democratic Center, Gabriel Vallejo, also insisted that all this process has political motivations.
“We have no doubt that he is an innocent man who has acted with transparency, with love for Colombia. And that is why We also want to tell the country that the judicial process advanced has strictly political motivations. Senator Paola Holguín also states that former President Uribe is innocent and will continue to sustain him in the other instances that have left this process.
