Contrary to what is thought, on August 2 the issue of alliances does not end. On August 2, the deadline in which an alliance before the JNE can be requested, yes. But then comes the really complex.
Alliances and pacts
The alliances registration process will imply a series of requirements. Each requesting party must build a whole file. “The joint agreement to form the alliance must be signed by authorized persons for this purpose, according to the statute of each political organization,” says article 53 of the Law of Political Organizations (LOP). These requests must include all the relevant documents that support this authorization. “The agreement must contain, at least: the electoral process in which the legal domicile, the governing bodies and the name of its members, the denomination and symbol, (…) the declaration of its objectives, the definition of the organs or authorities that will adopt the decisions of an economic-financial nature, as well as their relationship with the treasury of the Alliance …”. So far several impasses arise. Especially if the president of the party, the Secretary General, the Legal Personero and the decentralized treasurers are not aligned. It is part of the revenge of the ethnocacerist against what he considers a system that has arbitrarily excluded him.
Thesis, antithesis and synthesis
After overcoming the observations and studs (antithesis), a final synthesis must be developed. According to articles 66 and 67 of the same LOP, the synthesis must contain at least the denomination, the symbol and the acronym of the new political organization; the territorial scope of its electoral participation; the name of the founders, managers and proxies; the name of the legal and technical, owner and alternate persons; the name of the legal representative; the titular treasurer, alternate treasurer and the decentralized treasurers; the legal domicile; the party committees and their addresses; the structure of the statute and electoral regulations; the number of adherents and affiliates; and a long etcetera. This also applies for mergers and party integrations. As any candidate who has not plagiarized or falsified his thesis knows, will survive the synthesis of an alliance that subsanes the antithesis of the original thesis. That the games begin.
