#8M: 3,000 policewomen will monitor the march in CDMX for Women's Day

The SSC official pointed out that the filling of the tanks that will be used in the march was supervised by the Mexico City Human Rights Commission (CDHCM) and Internal Affairs personnel.

This action comes after social organizations and protesters pointed out to the capital police for using tear gas in previous marches.

“We do not rule out that we could have the presence of acts of violence such as those that you already know from previous feminist mobilizations, therefore, yes, we are not ruling out the participation or presence of this type of groups that carry out these types of violent acts. . We have detected at least a dozen groups or collectives that are dedicated to this type of act and that the city government, because it does not agree and on the contrary calls for the mobilization to be carried out in a peaceful manner,” said Adriana Contreras Vera, Government Director of the CDMX Government Secretariat.

In addition, demonstrators carrying objects considered dangerous will be prevented from participating in the march.

“Crossings (directions) supervised by the Human Rights Commission of Mexico City will be carried out in order to prevent people with hammers, Molotov cocktails, firecrackers, tubes, sticks and any object that could endanger physical integrity of the demonstrators enter it,” said Marcela Figueroa Franco.

“It is because it is detected that people bring objects that can endanger not only the demonstrators themselves but themselves (sic), and they are asked to hand over these instruments and that is why these referrals are made; that is the The only reason why the prosecutions are made, the Human Rights Commission is always present to supervise what the police are doing at that moment,” he added.

It was highlighted that the Rescue Squad and Medical Emergencies (ERUM), of the SSC, will have 10 ambulances, 10 motorcycles and 75 paramedics during the mobilization.
