The Minister of Transport and Communications, César Sandoval, will denounce the mayor of Lima, Rafael López Aliaga, after he assured that, before being minister, he met him to ask for his support.
“I received this gentleman in my office at least three times. Three times he came to see me ask for support, who please wanted to be a minister and I trusted him. I really was wrong,” said López Aliaga.
In a message issued by the MTC, the holder of the portfolio rejected accusations on private meetings with López Aliaga, also indicating that the burgomaster lies.
He also argued that this mayor’s behavior reflects an “intention to damage his honor” premeditated.
“López Aliaga deliberately lies, blatantly, slander and also does it in the media,” Sandoval said.
