“The Bolivarian project places the human being in the center of justice,” said the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, during his participation in the Forum “The historic victory of Venezuela in the defense of the human rights of our repatriated from El Salvador”, held at the National Experimental University of the Arts (Uncle), Puerto La Cruz headquarters, Anzoátegui state.
The event brought together numerous university students, human rights defenders, academics, lawyer guilds, educational authorities and community representatives of the Sotillo municipality, consolidating a space for reflection on the legal and diplomatic scopes of the repatriation process promoted by the Venezuelan State under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro.
During his speech, prosecutor Saab reaffirmed that the actions of the Public Ministry are governed by a humanistic ethic centered on the individual, “essence of the Bolivarian project that we defend,” he said.
The activity was attended by Professor Jesús Marcano Tábata, who offered a critical and deep reading of the historical context that frames this initiative. “It is not only the physical return of our brothers, but the restoration of their right to be treated as full and free human beings,” he said, highlighting the articulation between diplomatic, legal and social power.
In its development, the day allowed to highlight the interrelation between education, institutionality and critical awareness as pillars to build a culture of sovereignty and dignity.
Attendees agreed that actions such as this consolidate a revolutionary sense, and reaffirm the country’s commitment to the principles of Bolivarian socialism.
Both speakers underlined the articulating role of the Venezuelan state in this initiative, merging diplomatic, legal and social capacities.
