At least five more people starved and malnourished at hospitals in Gaza in the last 24 hours, according to the Palestine Ministry of Health on Saturday (26). The information was released on an official channel on the agency’s Telegram. Still according to the Palestinian government, with more these losses, the total number of hunger and malnutrition deaths reaches 127 people, of which 85 victims were children.
Another information is that, also in the last 24 hours, at least 29 more people have died in local hospitals due to Israeli attacks.
Trucks with help
The government added that this Saturday was scheduled for the entry of six United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) trucks with medical supplies to enter the hospitals of the Gaza Strip. “They do not contain any food item. The items that should arrive are of great importance and urgent need to continue to provide medical assistance to wounded and sick and save lives.”
Also on Saturday, a report by the Ministry of Health points out that in 24 hours, 512 people injured by the Israeli military attacks arrived in Gaza.
“Several victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, as the ambulance and civil defense teams have failed to reach them so far,” said the Palestinian government.
“There are trucks”
During the week, the Israeli government, in a statement on the Internet, rejected criticism of international entities about providing humanitarian aid to Gaza.
“At this critical moment of negotiations, they are echoing Hamas’s advertising and impairing the chances of a ceasefire. We have instituted all organizations to stop using Hamas’s arguments.”
The government of Israel argues that about 4,500 Trucks entered Gaza. “There are over 700 humanitarian aid trucks within Gaza,” said Israel.
“Walking corpses”
On the other hand, the UN released, on Thursday (24), speaks of the Commissioner General of the United Nations Palestinian Refugee Assistance (Unrwa), Philippe Lazzarini: “People in Gaza are neither dead nor living, they are walking corpses.”
He added that there are employees who work for the humanitaris causes “fainting from hunger” during professional performance.
