The regional governor of Moquegua, Gilia Gutiérrez Ayala, urged the president of the Republic Dina Boluarte Zegarra to assume a true policy of decentralization in her message to the nation for national holidays, which translates into greater resources, concrete works and effective solutions for the problems faced by the regions.
“The president must look at the regions with greater sensitivity in her last year of government. Moquegua has historically been a region that is committed to private investment, but the State has a pending debt to us. We need to reinvindicate with tangible projects, which solve the lack of hydraulic infrastructure (dams), paved with communication roads, hospitals, schools and police equipment Citizen, ”said the governor.
Organized crime progress
In citizen security issues, Gutiérrez Ayala was emphatic in pointing out the serious situation in the port of Ilo, where the population faces the progress of organized crime. “We are doing our part, but we require the firm support of the Ministry of Interior. We do not want more promises, but patrolmen, cameras and more well -equipped police,” he said.
On strategic projects, the Regional Authority said that Moquegua prioritizes emblematic works such as dams: Coralaque, Cuturi, Tambillo, Chilota and Paltuture that will guarantee more than 200 million cubic meters to develop agriculture with a view to agro -export; the Moquegua-Oma-Archipa road, among others of high social impact. He also asked the Executive to accelerate co -financing and execution processes for various modalities, including tax works with ministries.
More temporary employment programs
Finally, in the labor issue, he stressed that the National Executive, before concluding with his mandate, President Boluarte can transfer the functions and resources to develop greater regional temporal employment programs, as on the regional initiative it has been shown that women Chamba and young Chamba, are a great success with social approach due to the increase in unemployment, as well as alliances with the educational and business sector to promote youth and technical employability.
“Decentralization must cease to be a speech to become a reality. From Moquegua we raise our voice so that we are respected as a productive and strategic region for the country,” concluded the head of the region.
