Proinversion delivered the concession of the road Longitudinal of the Sierra Section 4 to Center Road Concessionaire (made up of construction and administration SA and Hidalgo and Hidalgo SA), which will invest US $ 1,582 million and will contribute to the closure of the infrastructure gap with 955 kilometers of national road.
This is a work that will benefit more than 1.6 million people from Junín, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho and Apurímac, and includes the construction of the new San Clemente Evitation (5.2 km), the rehabilitation and improvement of the Huancayo – Izcuchaca and Izcuchaca – Mayocc (179.3 km), and the initial periodic maintenance of 780.7 km Mayocc – Ayacucho – Andahuaylas – Sahuinto and Ayacucho – Huaytará – Division Pisco.
In this regard, the head of the Promotion Agency, Luis del Carpio, said that this is a project that will contribute to improving the productivity and competitiveness of the regions where the economic dynamism that will generate will be executed and highlighted.
In addition, he pointed out that this work will help reduce logistics times and costs, as well as increase road safety. The concessionaire of this section of the longitudinal will have the operation for a period of 25 years.
It should be noted that this is a project whose structuring occurred in 2015. In the process there were eight enabled bidders, but the best technical and economic offer was chosen.
According to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), this road will connect with strategic points for international trade such as the General Port Terminal San Martín and the Puerto del Callao.
