Arms, ammunition, controlled substances and fuel have been seized. The operations were carried out in eight provinces
As part of the anti crime operatives carried out by members of the Armed Forces at the national level, within the Exception status decreed by the Government, they have been detained six people and weapons, ammunition and substances subject to control have been seized, according to a report issued by the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, on October 30, 2021.
The operations were carried out in the provinces from Guayas, Pichincha, Manabí, El Oro, Morona Santiago, Carchi, Pastaza and Sucumbíos.
The military operations resulted in Outcome:
- 6 people arrested.
- 2 firearms.
- 31 ammunition.
- 12 traumatic cartridges.
- 5 bladed weapons.
- Approximately 600 packages of possible substances subject to control.
- Several jute packages dumped into the sea with controlled substances.
- And 210 gallons of fuel.
“The detainees and the evidence of these military operations that are carried out throughout Ecuadorian territory were handed over to the competent authorities for the procedures dictated by law, ”they said in a statement. (RR)
