The morning of Friday, July 25, a two -story interprovincial bus overturned in the Shig Shag sector, in the Palca (Tarma) district, leaving a tragic balance of 17 dead passengers and 27 injured, as confirmed by the director of the Félix Mayorca Soto de Tarma hospital. The accident was recorded when the unit was traveling from Lima to Chachamayo. Survivors said that the bus presented mechanical failures during the journey and that an alleged brake emptying would have caused the incident.

Deaths
