Sale, distribution of alcoholic beverages, weapons, public meetings, demonstrations and congregations, will be prohibited until Monday 28 at 11:59 pm
As part of the institutional deployment prior to municipal elections, the National Government activated a set of special security measures to preserve public order and guarantee the peaceful development of the Electoral process on Sunday, July 27.
As established in the Extraordinary Official Gazette No. 6,921as of this Friday it is prohibited throughout the national territory:
- The sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages until Monday 28 at 11:59 pm
- The bearing of firearms and white weapons during the same period.
- Public meetings, demonstrations and congregations.
- Heavy machinery traffic until Monday night.
- The marketing of pyrotechnic artifacts until 8:00 am on Monday 28.
Operative led by CEOFANB
The operation is led by the FANB Operational Strategic Command, which will maintain strict controls on the border routes – maritime, aerial and terrestrial – to avoid incidents that can alter the electoral climate.
These actions were ratified in a joint statement between the Ministry of Popular Power for Defense and the Ministry of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, disseminated by the Operational Strategic Commander, Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his Instagram account.
