From the act, the sectorial vice president of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, expressed his admiration for the work of the Navy for defending the Venezuelan Sea and denounced the incursion of a ship in Venezuelan waters in an alleged oceanographic exploration
“We are third in the defense of our Atlantic facade,” he said and warned that Venezuela “is not sucking rooster,” he said when denouncing unauthorized entrance from the ship to a few miles from the amacuro delta. “The sea is not aware of delimiting, it is our sea! It is our exit, there at the head of the Delta, without asking permission and saying that they were in Guyanesas waters.”
In his opinion, the action is no accident; “We are not breastfeeding to defend our sovereignty, and we are going to exercise all actions under the leadership of our commander in chief (President Nicolás Maduro) to defend our sovereignty in any geographical space, whether at sea, be it in continental territory,” he said.
Padrino López recalled that Naval and Air-Marine patrols have been reinforced and instructed the mobilization of units of the Bolivarian National Navy to permanently monitor the continental platform and the country’s river routes.
He also highlighted the importance of the Civic-Military Union and urged institutions of the State and the civilian population to stay alert, “working hand in hand with our naval force to ensure that no external actor violates our territorial integrity.”

Among the naval vehicles mobilized in the spot, the Simón Bolívar School ship was deployed, as well as an interceptor boat of the Coast Guard Command, which was manned by the director of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Navy, Counter Admiral Pedro Elías González.
Additionally, MI-17 helicopter were deployed, coast-up patrol vessel Aviocar, and Su-30 MK2.
