The afternoon of this Tuesday, July 22, a fire was recorded in the El Mácaro substation, located in the Santiago Mariño municipality (Turmero), an incident that left four workers injured, who were identified as: Carlos Camacho (Supervisor), Luis Vergel (Liniero), Ángel Mayorga (Liniero) and Norman Araque (Liniero), who were transferred to the Polyclinic of Turmero.
According to a part offered by the Central Redi Zodi 44 Aragua, the incident occurred after 2:00 pm, when Corpoelec personnel were carrying out test work in the substation El Mácaro, when unfortunately an explosion originated and subsequently a fire.
In addition to the injured personnel, several burned vehicles were reported due to the strong flares that occurred in the substation, a situation that was immediately attended, thanks to the joint work of the staff of the Fire Department of the Aragua State and Civil Protection.
They also moved to the commissions of the Bolivarian Police, terrorism unit, Bolivarian National Guard, Cicpc and Sebin, to carry out rigor investigations.
The situation also generated the interruption of the electric service in several areas of Maracay, Turmero and part of Mariara in the Carabobo state.
