As part of the activities commemorative to the tenth anniversary of the National Health Service (SNS), Eleven hospital centers were recognized for their performance, quality and efficiency, in an act headed by President Luis Abinader.
During the act, tribute to the First Lady, Raquel Arbage, were paid for promoting initiatives that contribute to strengthening health care, such as early detection programs of the auditory deficit and prevention of breast cancer, cervical and prostate.
The executive director of the SNS, Mario Lama, stressed that in five years of management they have managed to recover the confidence of the population in public health services.
To select the winners, three components of the performance program were taken into account: administrative and financial (40 %), clinical management (40 %), user satisfaction (10 %) and institutional identity (10 %).
Recognized
He obtained the gold performance award, for having achieved 86.78, the highest qualification, the Hospital Nuestra Señora del Carmen, in Padre Las Casas, province of Azua.

In the category “Best self -management performance” the traumatological Ney Arias Lora, first place; Pediatric Hugo Mendoza, second place and the traumatological and surgical Professor Juan Bosch, of La Vega, third place.
In the “Best Regional Performance” category, the Ing. Luis L. Bogaert de Valverde regional hospital won the first place; While the second place went to the childish Dr. Robert Reid Cabral.
In the “Best Provincial Performance” line, the first place went to the Santiago Rodríguez General Hospital; Second was the Elio Fiallo and in third the teacher Father Billini. In the “Best Municipal Performance” category, the first three places achieved: Our Lady of Carmen de Azua; Federico Leopoldo Lavandier, from the province of Duarte and Luis Bonilla Castillo, by María Trinidad Sánchez.
In the act, carried out in the Pavilion of the Fame of the Dominican sport, three clinical and diagnostic centers, three regional and three directions of the central level were also recognized.
