US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday afternoon that the United States made a commercial agreement with Indonesia, country BRICS FULL MEMBER. The set of countries also has Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and Iran.
“It has been agreed that Indonesia will open its market for US industrial, technological and agricultural products, eliminating 99% of its tariff barriers. The United States of America will sell manufactured products on American grounds to Indonesia with zero fare, while Indonesia will pay 19% tariff over all its products entering the US – the best market in the world!”.
The statement, made by the Truth Social network, also says that Indonesia will provide the United States “precious critical minerals” and will sign “large agreements, worth tens of billions of dollars, for the purchase of Boeing aircraft, US agricultural products and US energy.”
Trump added that the agreement will benefit US car manufacturers, technology companies, workers, farmers, ranchers and industries in general.
