The Government declared a state of emergency in some districts of several provinces of the Cajamarca region due to the impact of damage due to the occurrence of intense rainfall.
According to Supreme Decree No. 017-2022-PCMpublished in an Extraordinary edition of Diario El Peruano this Saturday, March 5, the measure will be for a period of 60 calendar days for the execution of emergency measures and actions, immediate and necessary, of response and rehabilitation that correspond.
Likewise, the Regional Government of Cajamarca, and the local governments included, with the technical coordination and monitoring of the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci) and the participation of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation , the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations, the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, and other public and private institutions involved, They will execute the emergency measures and actions, immediate and necessary, aimed at the response and rehabilitation of the affected areas.
Said actions must have a direct causal link between the interventions and the event, and may be modified according to the needs and security elements that arise during their execution, supported by the technical studies of the competent entities.
It should be noted that the implementation of the actions provided for in this DS are financed from the institutional budget of the specifications involved, in accordance with current regulations.
