Some 3,000 jobs per year remain vacant in the Information Technology (IT) sector due to a shortage of trained human resources. To remedy this unsatisfied demand, the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies (CUTI) is holding talks with the government to design incentives that captivate foreign professionals and motivate them to settle in Uruguay to work in local companies.
