CICPC officials rescued members of a family group who were hostages of a subject within a house located in La Esperanza alley, 18th Street, the gardens of El Valle, Caracas.
According to the report hanging on the CICPC Instagram account, the man is identified as Henribsen Antonio Bolívar Acevedo (46), who is requested by the 20th trial court of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, for the crime of homicide qualified with alevosía and for futile reasons in author’s degree. In addition, they investigate it for two other homicides. When officials reached the aforementioned place to stop him, he brought out a firearm.
They immediately gave him the voice of Alto, which ignored, shooting at the police commission, originating an exchange of shots where he was injured, then entered a house where he took the inhabitants of the same hostage, says the report.
Seeing that situation, the CICPC activated a negotiation protocol with experts in the field and a prosecutor from the Public Ministry. After a few hours, the subject deposed his attitude and gave himself to the agents of the Cicpc, who in turn proceeded to rescue the hostages.
Bolívar Acevedo was taken to the José María Vargas hospital, where first aid and his health status is stable; remaining the order of the Prosecutor’s Office. 136 ammunition of different calibers, a gun and two cell phones were seized as evidence of the case.
Condemned homicide
In another fact, the Court 6 of Monagas trial issued a conviction consisting of 23 years in prison for José Ramón Mendoza, for his responsibility in the murder of José Daniel Figuera Carmona and a teenager, prosecution reported.
This double homicide occurred on April 11, 2020 within a building located in Maturín (Monagas).
