For money laundering, drug trafficking and criminal association, the former deputy and former president of the San Cristóbal Cooperative Juan Carlos Ozorio is investigated.
The Prosecutor’s Office blames him for having provided the Insfrán clan with the way to put money from drug trafficking into circulation. They also attribute to him the steps to reserve and obtain a license plate for a helicopter acquired for use in the criminal structure.
In this regard, during the raid carried out yesterday at the San Cristóbal cooperative, boxes of documents, files, images and computer equipment were seized from the office occupied by Juan Carlos Ozorio as head of the entity.
The procedure was headed by prosecutor Deny Pak, from the Specialized Drug Trafficking Unit, in search of elements with a transnational criminal structure.
Juan Carlos Ozorio resigned on Wednesday from his seat in Deputies and was replaced by Guadalupe Aveiro. Hours later he also resigned from the presidency of the cooperative. Upon losing his parliamentary privileges, he was arrested by Senad without further formalities.
