The National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) accused the opposition, without specifying names of politicians, of being responsible for the alleged attack with the objective of disturbing Holy Week. They also initiated investigations together with the Interior Ministry
The National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) denounced this Friday, April 11, a new attack against the National Electrical System (SEN) and said, through a statement, that there are three detainees.
In the afternoon of this Friday, in different areas of Caracas, electric shoes were reported and even suspension of the electric service in others. Corpoelec described the fault as “a terrorist and fascist attack,” but said the situation was solved “immediate.”
In the same way, the electric company reported that three people were arrested for being “the causes of this event” and accused opposition sectors, without specifying names, of “wanting to harm the holiday of Holy Week.”

Although Corpoelec He did not indicate in what state of the country the alleged attack occurred, they detailed that together with the Ministry of Electric Power they worked in “record time” to recover the service.
On the other hand, the authorities established communication with the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace, to activate security agency to “initiate thorough investigation.”
