The Public Ministry achieved deprivation of liberty for Raúl Oviedo Pereira Osorio (45), for his alleged responsibility in frustrated femicide against his partner 32 years of age.
Such fact was detected on March 29 in the Isaías Medina Angarita neighborhood, Liberator Municipality of the Capital District.
In the morning of that day, the victim and his two children of 6 and 9 years took advantage that the aggressor was sleeping to flee from the house, after they kept them in captivity for a year.
Immediately, they moved to the home of their parent in Caricuao, to inform her of the situation, so they came to file the complaint with the body of investigations, scientific, criminal and criminal (Cicpc) of the aforementioned parish.
During the interview with the officials, the woman said that her partner physically assaulted her and psychologically, in addition to sexually abusing her without her consent, during the period that kept her in confinement.
Additionally, he said that he denied access to food to her and the children, whom he also physically assaulted.
Consequently, a Cicpc commission was formed, who moved to the man’s home to be apprehended and made available to the Public Ministry.
At the presentation hearing, the 128th Prosecutor’s Office of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas (AMC) charged Pereira Osorio for the crimes aggravated femicide, aggravated sexual violence in degree of continuity, illegitimate deprivation of personal liberty, cruel treatment and aggravated physical violence in the degree of continuity.
Once the elements of conviction exposed by the prosecutor of the case were evaluated, the 10th AMC Control Court issued the aforementioned deprivation of liberty against man, who was held in the judicial boarding school El Rodeo II, located in the Miranda state.
