Government reiterates support for dialogue and says that specific time and solutions require
La Vega. The Minister of Energy and minesJoel Santos, valued the advances that have been achieved in mediation meetings for the resettlement process in Cotuíwith the creation of several subcommissions to achieve a fair agreement between both parties.
Cited the subcommittees of claims of housingDesign and Construction Housing, appraisals and previous, attention to people with disabilities and in vulnerability, government works and environmental impact.
“The Government reiterates its support for this mediation, to guarantee a fair and equitable process. For a mediation to work, it must have the necessary time and focus on specific solutions ”said Minister Santos.
During the dialogue carried out at the Citolic University of Cibao (UCATECI), the official recognized the expectation of the community regarding a solution and assured that the dialogue will continue to be the priority route to address the differences.
“We know that there is a community waiting for answers and that must be taken into account. We will continue to favor dialogue as the best way to solve this issue, ”he added.
Santos explained that the solution will be working through the subcommissions created to address the different aspects of the process and achieve a fair agreement.
Minister Santos emphasized the need for subcommissions to have a defined time to present results and work based on concrete objectives.
The meetings schedule establishes that on Tuesday 25 the names of the members of the subcommittees will be delivered and that on March 7 they will meet again in the dialogue work.
