Presenter Teresa Cristina hosts the carnival and commentator Milton Cunha in the unpublished edition of the program Samba in Gamboa this Sunday (23), at 13h, in TV Brazil. In the program, the expert addresses unforgettable parades of the samba schools of the carioca carnival and the singer plays classics with the greatest sambas-plot of all time.
Teresa Cristina chants songs that cross generations like “Bum Bum Babumumbum Prugurundum”, samba champion of the Serrano Empire in 1982; “Rats and Vultures, drop my fantasy”, song of the Beija-Flor runner-up in 1989; “O Ti Ti Ti do Sapoti”, work of Estácio de Sá in 1987; and “Stories to Larning Great People”, samba that gave the title to Mangueira in 2019, among others.
The experienced set designer explains the plots of the compositions, highlights his authors and talks about great carnival personalities during the unprecedented chat. Milton Cunha reveals behind the scenes and the repercussion of these sambas-plot that made history and are still remembered as a reference today.
