Thus establish some prohibitions such as Children under 14 cannot access social networks and? Teenagers from 15 to 17 can use them only with the authorization of their parents.
It also promotes the increase in sanctions for digital crimes against pedophiles and digital stalkers and proposes the suspension of accounts or profiles, the elimination of content, the cancellation of accounts or social media profiles, when:
- The affectation to the rights or best interests of girls, boys and adolescents is accredited.
- The dissemination of hate messages is accredited.
- Personal data are revealed in violation of the provisions of the laws of the matter.
The initiative also seeks that digital social networks do not allow access to girls, boys and adolescents under 14 years.
While in the case of adolescents between 14 years and children under 18, it is proposed that digital social networks request the consent of the father, mother or guardian, for registration as users.
The implementation of security filters and denunciation mechanisms is also required to avoid exposure to inappropriate content and improper collection of personal data.
Through this proposal, it is also sought that the platforms assume their responsibility to repair the damages caused to minors for breach of the protection measures.
