The state of São Paulo reached this Friday (21) the landmark of 300 cases of dengue for every 100 thousand inhabitants, considered a level of epidemic situation.

134 thousand cases and 126 deaths this year were counted. Another 252 deaths are under investigation. The state government decreed Sanitary emergency in the state Last Wednesday (19).
In 2024, compared to the same period of this year (8th Epidemiological Week), 198 thousand cases and 159 deaths were recorded, with an incidence of 446.3 cases for 100,000 inhabitants.
Task force
The State Department of Health holds a task force in cities with higher incidence, and will pass through the regions of Bauru, Araçatuba, Marília and São José do Rio Preto. The teams were today in the city of Conchas, which is among the municipalities with the largest number of cases in the state, equivalent to 9.9 thousand cases to 100 thousand inhabitants.
“We brought our health and epidemiological surveillance team to support municipal services. We have aligned with local primary care the necessary support for hydration and more severe cases regulation of patients, ”said Folder Executive Secretary Priscilla Persicaris.
The actions are aimed at combating the transmitting mosquito and warns of the population about risk situations.
Last Thursday (20), representatives of the Ministry of Health went to São José do Rio Preto, where the National Force of SUS has been working for two weeks with 27 professionals.
Another ten doctors, 22 nurses, 18 nursing technicians and four pharmacists will come together with the group within the next 15 days and will support the municipality’s service network.
