The President Luis Abinader proposed to Yeni Berenice Reynoso to be the new Attorney General of the Republic.
The decision was made this Friday during the fourth session of the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM), of which Abinader is the president.
The Secretary of the Council, Nancy Salcedo, announced the names of those who would accompany Berenice Reynoso as attachments.
The names of the proposed ones are: Fiordaliza Alduey Mercedes; Emilio Rodríguez Montilla, Isis Germania de la Cruz Duarte; María del Carmen de León; Osvaldo Antonio Bonilla; Felipe Herrera, and Iván Félix.
At present, the CNM is composed of nine members: the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader; the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Luis Henry Molina; the president of the Constitutional Court, Napoleon Estévez Lavandier; The president of the Senate, Ricardo de los Santos, and the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco, who participates remotely. The judge of the Supreme Court of Justice, Judge Nancy Salcedo Fernández; Senator Omar Fernández and deputy Tobias Crespo.
