A meeting between Bolsonaro and Allied parliamentarians took place on the morning of Wednesday (19), at the home of opposition leader Colonel Zucco (PL/RS), in Brasilia, to discuss the group’s strategy going forward.
Already the parliamentarians who support the government of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva believe that the complaint is a milestone in the defense of Brazilian democracy and contributes to block, once and for all, the amnesty project.
Representative Sostenes Cavalcante (RJ), PL leader in the House, Bolsonaro’s party, said they are telling the votes to guide the theme at the House Leaders’ College meeting, scheduled for Thursday (20). Sostenes has announced that urgency will be requested to process the text.

Last year, before the proposal was voted on the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), a collegiate dominated by the former president’s allies, then-mayor Arthur Lira (PP-AL) created a special committee to discuss the topicbut the new collegiate was not installed.
The president of the House of Representatives, Hugo Motta (MDB), has been pressured to guide the issue and, when assuming the house, made statements arguing that there would have been no attempt to blow and that there would be no leader of the movement that culminated in the January 8th.
The complaint filed on Tuesday by the Attorney General, Paulo Gonet, contradicts Motta’s statement as he accuses Bolsonaro of being the lead behind the coup attempt.
At Jair Bolsonaro on Wednesday’s meeting with allies, Deputy Carlos Jordy (PL-RJ), when leaving the meeting, said that the group’s political strategy was discussed to face the complaint.
“I can’t reveal the strategy because it loses its effectiveness, but President Bolsonaro is calm because he knows he has the truth by our side,” he argued.
Former President Bolsonaro left the meeting without talking to the press.
Amnesty
The deputy leader of the government in the congress, Deputy Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP), told the Brazil agency That the amnesty project will “die” in the National Congress.

The Senate MDB leader, Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB/AM), commented that the complaint shows that the institutions are working.
