The Supreme will now decide if he accepts the complaint made by the Attorney General, Paul former ministers.
Bolsonaro and Braga Netto
Gonet assures that Bolsonaro and the former minister and general of the Walter Braga Reserve Netto were the “leaders” of the plot and that both “accepted, stimulated and carried out acts typified in the criminal legislation of attack against the legal good of the existence and independence of the powers and the rule of democratic law ”.
The retired general Braga Netto is the former Minister of the Presidency and Defense in the Bolsonaro government, but was also a candidate for his president in 2022.

Bolsonaro “has never supported any movement that intends to deconstruct the democratic state of law or the institutions that enable it,” said lawyer Paulo Cunha Bueno in a shared note on the social networks of the ex -president.
The prosecution’s complaint is based on a police investigation that confirmed the existence of a plot that sought to keep Bolsonaro in power and thereby avoid Lula’s investiture, something that finally happened on January 1, 2023.

If the complaint is accepted, the Spanish agency points out, the case will be in the hands of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court, composed of magistrates of a progressive profile, headed by the process rapporteur, Alexandre de Moraes. Bolsonaro also faces other ongoing investigations in the criminal sphere.
