In a verification visit made by the Anti -Ruest Squadron of the District Institute for Animal Protection and Welfare (IDPYBA), in articulation with the Police of Carabineros, Four dogs, a cat and five birds of corral were rescued in an alleged illegal farm located in the town of Kennedy.
The operation was carried out after a citizen report through the official IDPYBA channels. On the spot Four dogs of the Golden Retriever, Beijing and Belgian shepherd, a Persian Persian cat and six chickens, one of them dead were found. The animals had obvious signs of negligence, overexploitation and abandonment.
According to the IDPyBA report, dogs were in inappropriate hygienic conditions, with signs of malnutrition, absence of preventive medicine and limitations to express their natural behavior. The Persian cat had ocular secretion, severe gingivitis and remained in an unhealthy space without veterinary attention.

Corral birds were found in a completely closed area, without access to sunlight and with nutritional deficiencies that affected its plumage and general well -being.
Before these conditions, IDPyBA’s veterinary medical team issued an unfavorable technical conceptwhich led the police to proceed with the pretrial material apprehension of the animals.
The four dogs and the feline were transferred to the animal care unit, where they receive comprehensive medical attention and are in the process of physical and behavioral recovery. For its part, Corral’s birds were taken to a home in passage, where they are under the care of IDPYBA professionals.
These types of acts constitute animal abuse and the case will be sent to the competent authorities to begin the corresponding legal actions.
