Two former managers of Corpoelec for illegal traffic of resources and strategic material

Given their involvement in the extraction of 13,000 liters of dielectric oil from the Caujarito Operations Center, citizens Héctor Cova and Ángel Duarte were detained, who exercised as transmission and safety and environmental managers, respectively, of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) In Zulia state.

The arrest warrant issued by the Sixth Control Court of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Zulia, at the request of the Public Ministry (MP), was executed by officials of the Directorate of Strategic and Tactical Actions (DAET) of the Bolivarian National Police Corps in a Operative deployed in the city of Maracaibo, refers to a MPPEE press release.

The aforementioned citizens are charged with the crimes of illicit traffic of resources and strategic material, typified in article 34 of the Organic Law against Organized Crime and Financing to Terrorism, and Agavillament, established in article 86 of the Criminal Code.

The Ministry of Popular Power for Electricity, as well as its assigned entities, reaffirm its disposition and support to the organs of Justice and Citizen Security in the context of the fight against corruption advanced by the National Government.
