This Saturday (15), in the semifinal of the ATP 250 of Buenos Aires, the carioca who began the tournament in 99th place in the world ranking fought a two -hour battle on the clay court until defeating Serbian Laslo Djere (112º), by 2 sets to 1, with partials of 7/6 (3), 5/7 and 6/1.

On Friday (14), Fonseca had already become the youngest Brazilian to advance to a semifinal of the professional circuit and today he has made history again by becoming a finalist with only 18 years. With the classification to the final, the carioca will rise from 99th position to 74th place in the next update of the ranking of the Association of Professional Tennisas (ATP) next Monday (17). The young man will be the best -placed Brazilian tennis player on the list, posted until then occupied by Paraná Thiago Wild.
The final of the ATP of Buenos Aires will be this Sunday (16), at a time yet defined, in a mood of classic Brazil x Argentina. Fonseca will face host Francisco Cerundolo (28th in the ranking) who defeated in the other semi Spanish Pedro Martinez (41st) by 2 sets at 0 (6/2 and 6/4).
