Maduro: Fascism must be crushed with the strength of humanity

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said Saturday during his speech as an order speaker for the 206 years of the Installation of the Angostura Congress that fascism must be crushed with the strength of humanity, democracy and truth .

From the Elliptical Hall of the National Assembly (AN)the Head of State made such assertion in response to the comments by spokesmen of the extreme right who tried to minimize the protocol hall of the Federal Legislative Palace to qualifying it as a “quarter”.

“I try to be diminished by the fascist and the ignorant fascist in its day (…) You have to be well ignorant to say that the protocol hall of the Republic that represents so much history is a quarter of the National Assembly, it is not a quarter is the Hall of greatest brightness and greatest draft in the history of the last three centuries in the history of Venezuela of the Republican Venezuela (…) fools, ignorant and fascist, ”said Maduro.

He stressed that this space is over 150 years old as “the par excellence protocol hall that has seen the course of the history of three centuries. Much of the nineteenth century, the entire twentieth century and the years elapsed from the 21st century. ”

The dignitary recalled that he was in that room 35 days ago. “I was with our people in these latitudes and beyond these latitudes here in this protocol room, the largest room that collects the history of our country, swearing that wonderful day of victory and history, January 10, 2025,” he recalled .

Angostura Congress

During his speech, the national president stressed that the Angostura Congress was the first force ring to unify the Republic of Venezuela, New Granada and the province of Quito in a single nation.

“Today we commemorate the 206 years of the installation of the Angostura Congress. The first force ring to unify the Republic of Venezuela, New Granada and the Province of Quito in a single nation. A time to remember our history and reaffirm our unit! ”He said.

Maduro also said that Angostura’s speech “came to put order and shape the project of what had to be built and that in a thousand forms tried the Liberator Simón Bolívar.”

He emphasized the importance of the presentations of the “Speech of Angostura to the Blue” seminar.

He stressed that ideas must be integrated into schools, high schools, universities and study centers throughout Venezuela.

President Maduro emphasized the importance of knowing the history of the country, “since there are the roots of our independence and sovereignty.”

He reaffirmed that the secret of the victories of the Bolivarian Revolution to resist so many attacks in these times is in the homeland and the thought of our Liberators, in our roots, “because the story came to come true, because history is continuity, It is origin, it is identity, ”he said.

“Without history it is impossible for a people to consider transcending, building and advancing, less in the 21st century that we face the false promise of deideologization, depoliticization and how many ideological traps that are intended to be imposed,” he said.

The president pointed out that the Angostura speech, prepared by the Liberator Simón Bolívar, and the Blue Book, written by Commander Chávez, are the inspiration of the same thought, for two times, and one homeland.

The president alluded that Angostura’s speech was written to blood and fire, for years of war, with victories, advances, great defeats and setbacks.

In that transit, there was a process of South American independence that was never a linear process, but – he said – of long historical accumulation but also of complex resolution at the beginning of the 19th century.

“(…) Because we are the living force of our roots, because the story came to make lyrics, flesh,” he said.

In addition, in a speech full of anecdotes, President Maduro recalled that Commander Hugo Chávez “taught us and left as a fundamental part, a characteristic part of his leadership, history as a living force, inspiring and driving of the great pending changes and by making in Venezuelan reality. ”

In the solemn act, the Venezuelan president was received by a commission made up of deputies Jesús Farías, Tania Díaz, Nicia Maldonado, Ricardo Molina, Bernabé Gutiérrez, Timothy Zambrano, who accompanied him to make his entrance to the elliptical hall of the Federal Legislative Palace.

Maduro emphasized the importance of unity in times of adversity. He recalled how Liberator Simón Bolívar managed to unify different armies in a single powerful nucleus that freed the entire Guayana, including the Guayana Esequiba.

This milestone, in the words of the president, was a transcendental moment in history, marked by the defense of independence against the vestiges of colonialism that still persist in the continent.

Resistance to neocolonialism

The president condemned the recent acts of glorification of colonialism, specifically referring to the return of the statue of Francisco Pizarro to a central square of Lima.

“This act is an offense for the peoples of America,” he said.

President Maduro said that while some try to resurrect figures from the colonial past, in Venezuela the liberating banner, a symbol of resistance and the struggle for independence.

The dignitary recalled that, despite the attempts of the fascist right to divide and weaken Latin American peoples, the force of the union of the Legados de Bolívar and Sucre will continue to prevail.

“The fight is raised,” he said, highlighting the ability of the revolutionaries to face neocolonialism and defend the principles of sovereignty and freedom.

Bolívar’s vision in the 21st century

The Head of State emphasized Bolívar’s vision during the Angostura Constituent Congress, where the project of a great republic was drawn. This vision is still alive and is more relevant than ever in the current context.

President Maduro urged the peoples of Latin America to join under the same ideal, consolidating the first ring of forces to ensure a future liberator and just for everyone.
