The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, arrived this Saturday afternoon to the Federal Legislative Palace of the National Assembly to present the proposal for constitutional reform before the Plenary.
The dignitary will deliver this proposal in the elliptical hall of the Federal Legislative Palace during the Solemn Session for the 206 years of the Installation of the Angostura Congress.
Within the proposal, the Head of State will be a fundamental objectives: expand and improve Venezuelan democracy, build a new society and modernity, and establish a clear economic model for future generations.
Maduro requested support from the people for constitutional reform. “For the constitutional reform I need the support of the people to turn the bureaucratic apparatus, the heavy apparatus, the anky and corrupt system of the State we still have, and transform it into a modern, human, base, democratic state. That is the goal, ”he asked.
The national president expressed his aspiration to establish a modern and human state, cemented in democratic principles. “That is the goal,” he said, reaffirming the need for a revolutionary approach in public management. Maduro specified that this transformation is not a mere copy of foreign models, but the creation of an authentic system, adapted to the realities and needs of the Venezuelan people.
He pointed out that it is a “own creation” and highlighted the uniqueness of the political project that is being forged as something “authentically ours, born in revolution.”
