The economy Peruvian grew 3.33% in 2024, after an advance of 4.85% in December, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). In this way it recovered from the fall of 0.55% of 2023.
During the past year, the most advanced sector was the fishing vessel with 24.89%, explained mainly by the extraction of species of masticity origin destined for indirect human consumption.
Meanwhile, the item of transport, storage, mail and messaging, with 6.10%, while the agricultural increased 4.94%, and public administration, defense and others increased by 3.91%.
Other sectors that also increased were manufacturing with 3.9%, accommodation and restaurant at 3.7%, services provided to companies in 3.58%, also construction 3.58%and trade in 2.96.
On the other hand, the electricity, gas and water item advanced by 2.35%, while mining and hydrocarbons in 2.04%. In December, this last sector advanced 1.97%, driven by the highest volume of molybdenum production, copper, silver and gold.
In 2024, the only sector that registered a negative result was the financial and safe with a drop of 1.60%. However, in the last month 1.82% advanced due to the largest deposits of multiple banking.
