Armando Ferrer’s trajectory
Armando Ferrer, born in 1954, has left an important mark on Cuban baseball. His career dates back to the 90s, when he was part of the coaching staff of the henequeneros team, champion of the national series in 1990 and 1991. After a period away from the local tournaments, he returned strongly under the command of Matanzas, taking him to the final on two occasions and obtaining the title of the National Series in the 2019-2020 season.
He was also coach of the Cuba team in the last world classic and manager of the national team in the pre -Olympic heading to Tokyo 2020.
Beyond his successes in Cuba, Ferrer has also accumulated international experience as coach in Leagues in Italy, Russia and Mexico, consolidating itself as one of the most respected figures in the technical direction of baseball.
