Young volunteers who participated in the 2019 Lima Pan American Games will leave this Sunday 16 to the streets to express their disagreement with the government’s decision to extinguish the Special legacy project and transfer all its sports venues, economic resources and functions to the Peruvian Institute of Sports (IPD).
Daniela Cubas Barco, voluntary of the Pan American Games in 2019 based in Villa María del Triunfo, said it will be a peaceful march scheduled for this Sunday, February 16 from 8 in the morning at Kennedy Park in Miraflores.
In this activity, he said, the volunteers who were part of the COVID-19 vaccination campaigns that were carried out in the different venues of the special legacy project during the pandemic will also participate.
In statements a Peru21Cubas spoke against the absorption of legacy by the IPD, especially, commented, after having demonstrated an impeccable handling of the premises that it manages in contrast to what happens in which the institute manages.
He mentioned, for example, the case of the headquarters of Villa María del Triunfo where, he said, and the facilities and courts for the different sports disciplines continue to function and in very good condition.
