Police captured an alleged member of the criminal gang “The Savages of Piura”allegedly accused of assaulting in several commercial premises. Security cameras were key to identifying it fully.
This is Brayan Neyra León (18 years old), known as “Chuqui”, captured after a patient from the regional intelligence group staff, when he was traveling aboard a motorcycle through the II stage of the Ciudad del Niño settlement, in the Castilla district.
The alleged offender noticing the police presence tried to escape, but after a tenacious chase it was reduced and captured by the undercover agents that were in the area.
According to police information, Neyra León would have participated on Tuesday, February 11 at 8:25 p.m. , a few blocks from the city center.

At the time of the capture a high -end cell phone was found, owned by KRM, aggrieved and worker of the company where the robbery happened. He was also found a cacerine supplied with ammunition.
In the security cameras it is observed when “Chuqui”, dressed in a black jacket, red diver, white hat and wearing a mask to avoid being identified, enters the aforementioned store and threat of death to the workers.
His accomplice, who saw with red clothes, awaits him outside the premises.
Immediately afterwards he approaches the cash register and takes over the money from the day sales, in addition to the belongings of the employees.
It was known that “Chuqui” participated on February 3 of this year in an armed robbery against Lkgn (33 years). Also on August 2, 2024 he participated in an assault on ALJ (50 years), on October 1, 2024 he made a theft against MGPL (36 years) and on October 21, 2023 in another armed hand assault against KVC ( 45 years).
On October 22, 2023, “Chuqui” was held during a police intervention.
In the hands of the Police and Prosecutor’s Office are the images of the security cameras in which this alleged criminal against a pharmacy, a betting room and other premises would have participated.
