Projection of the Brazilian Association of Construction Materials Industry (Abramat) provides that the sector will grow around 2.8% in 2025. “Signs one year of opportunities for sustainable growth in the construction material industry, driven by investments, New technologies and production processes, as well as stimuli to state programs, such as social housing, ”said Rodrigo Navarro, president of the Association.
Navarro points out, however, that the sector needs to be aware and work hard to face the challenges brought by the economic conjuncture involving interest rates, inflation and debt of families, which affects the consumption and demand of the real estate market.
In January, the revenue of the materials industries should be shrinking of 0.2% compared to December, estimates the survey index, prepared by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) with data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). In relation to January 2024, it is expected that 0.6%increase should occur.
