Eduardo Fauzi, accused of promoting an attack on the production company’s headquarters Back door, has already arrived in the country and is imprisoned in Rio de Janeiro. He had been arrested by Interpol, the international police, in Moscow, Russia, in September 2020, and was extradited yesterday (3) to Brazil.
According to the State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration of Rio de Janeiro (Seap), Fauzi is being held at the José Frederico Marques Prison, in Benfica, in the north of the city, awaiting his custody hearing.
In a note, Fauzi’s lawyers reported that they are awaiting a decision from the Public Ministry of Rio (MPRJ) on a possible complaint to be made.
According to the defense, with the conclusion of the extradition process, the precautionary arrest loses all foundations. According to his lawyers, Fauzi wants to collaborate and hand over his passport to the courts.
He is accused of participating, in December 2019, in an attack, with explosive devices, on the headquarters of the production company Porta dos Fundos, famous for its comedy videos aired on Youtube.
